Pirelli Calendar 2014 1986 Edition 50th Anniversary

In the mid-80s, Helmut Newton was already a celebrity in the world of fashion photography and Pirelli with a masterstroke managed to hire him to create the 1986 calendar. The project, however, did not come to fruition, at least for that year, because the photographer, in the middle of the shooting, had to return home for family reasons. His work remained unpublished for the next 30 years, until in 2014 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Calendar, Pirelli dusted off those Newton photos and his unmistakable style, a black and white more sober than extroverted, seemed to adapt better to the year of final publication, i.e. 2014, rather than 1986. Helmut Newton took the photos for this calendar in Monte Carlo and Chianti, Tuscany. Among the models Susie Bick, Antonia Dell'Atte, Betty Prado

The calendar is in very good condition, a little bent at the bottom of some pages and with some marks on the last page (black) and on the enclosed presentation sheet. Spiral slightly damaged. Numbered copy complete with its cardboard box

Note: the Pirelli Calendar has been published in a limited edition since 1963. After an interruption from 1975 to 1983, it began to appear regularly every year again. It is not sold but given as gifts to clients and important people
