An icon of Italian design, designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide Milano, the Selene chair is exhibited in the world's most important museums and design collections, including the MOMA in New York and the Vitra Design Museum.
The design dates back to 1966, and mass production began in 1969.
The chair from those early years was made from a single mold of Reglar® or GRP (a fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin) plastic. The choice of material and the monocoque structure were revolutionary for the time, ensuring stability with slender legs reminiscent of wooden chairs, without the bulky appearance of other plastic chairs of the time.
The chairs we offer are all in very good condition, with more or less significant signs of wear and tear due to age and use. We've photographed the most significant ones, which are barely noticeable. One chair lacks rubber feet. They are made of Reglar®, and not of ABS as in subsequent productions
Under the seat is a brand with the name of the manufacturer and designer.
They can be picked up in person or delivered anywhere with carefully packaged and insured shipping. In areas we serve, you can choose to have them delivered directly by us. Viewing and, if necessary, purchasing in person at our warehouse is available by appointment.
The price is per single chair; we will consider offers for multiple purchases. Three Artemide Stadio tables are available that match perfectly: they are on sale with the code 3395
