Metal industrial Stool
A splendid pair of Monroe chairs (also known as Marilyn), an icon of postmodern design, designed by renowned Japanese architect Arata Isozaki in 1972.
A precious testament to Italian excellence, they bear the original ICF S.p.A. - Vimodrone/Milan label. ICF is historically renowned for producing the great classics of international design under license, ensuring the highest quality standards.
The Monroe is characterized by its sculptural design: the 142 cm high slatted backrest is designed to appear geometric from the front and sinuous in profile, a tribute to Marilyn Monroe's curves.
The frame is made of black lacquered beech wood; the lacquer is applied so as to allow the natural grain of the wood to be slightly visible (known as "ebonized black"). The original upholstered seats are made of satin in a beautiful ice blue: a very elegant and hard-to-find color combination.
The chairs are in excellent condition, with the padding still taut and meticulously finished. There are minor stains under the seat.
They can be picked up in person or delivered directly to our serviced areas. Contact us for careful and insured shipping to other destinations. Viewing and purchasing in person at our warehouse is available by appointment.
The price is per pair.
