Pair of Chiavarine Chairs, "Parigina" Model, 1950s

A pair of original Chiavarine chairs, in the refined "Parigina" model in Napoleon III style.

Chiavarine chairs represent the excellence of Ligurian craftsmanship: born from the intuition of Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi, who reinvented the classic chair in 1807, creating an extremely lightweight yet incredibly sturdy structure.

The frame is made of finely turned and black lacquered beech wood, with the backrest featuring the typical hand-pierced upper moulding. The legs and backrest are turned.

The seat, upholstered in a vibrant red fabric, creates a sophisticated and timeless color contrast.

The two chairs are in very good condition: the frame is solid and stable, with minor, more noticeable marks on the back (see last photo). The seat is still solid, without defects or breaks, and ready for use.
