Four Japanese color prints by Toshikata Mizuno

1866-1908
Ukiyoe painter. Also called Osai, Shosetsu and others like Betsugo. He became Yoshitoshi's student at 14, at the same time, he learned ceramic painting from Yamada Ryuto to help improve. He was also influenced by the painting style of Watanabe Syotei, which allowed him to invent a unique style in figures or landscapes, calm and noble, very different from the wild style of his master Yoshitoshi. His pieces were also displayed in several exhibitions, sending a fresh air into the Ukiyoe world after the death of Yoshitoshi. His prints are mostly multicolored prints depicting customs or wars

The prints show some signs of aging but are intact and in good condition and the colors are clearly visible

The light green frames with golden internal profile are also in good condition with some small signs of wear

The price is for 4 squares
