Flap, a floor lamp designed in 1983 by Franco Mirenzi for Valenti Cusago (Milan)

The 190 cm chromed steel rod rests on a cast iron base covered with a black-painted iron shell. The light body is made of aluminum, as this material better dissipates the heat generated by the powerful 500W halogen bulb and is easier to move along the rod. The adjustable rectangular reflector features a "flap" profile that allows the light beam to be adjusted with a simple movement. The bulb is protected by a smoked glass cover.

The lamp is equipped with its original Valenti dimmer, Mod. D500 (up to 500W), which allows brightness control—or rather, it would allow it, because the dimmer is not working: the lamp turns on and off regularly, but the light intensity cannot be adjusted.

Aside from the dimmer not working, the lamp is otherwise in good condition, with some signs of wear and tear.
